This image of Dirk Willems has become a famous representation of the Historic Peace Churches. Wilems was a martyred Anabaptist from Netherlands who escaped from prison, rescued his pursuer who had fallen through thin ice only to be recaptured, tortured, and killed for his faith.
Part of an art installation at the Community Room on King, the multipurpose space Veritas uses as its worship space and shares with local artists and community members throughout the week.
